Help Line/Shelter Attendant Volunteer
A Help Line/Shelter Attendant Volunteer will complete a 40 hour training. These volunteers are cross trained to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, education and practical assistance to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault either in the shelter or on the phone. Flexible day, evening and overnight shifts are available. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum 4 hour per week commitment.
Children/Youth Volunteer
Children/Youth Volunteers engage in recreational activities with children in shelter, provide childcare during groups or meetings, and assist the Youth Advocate during parties and other special events. Volunteers help role model healthy, non-violent relationships while providing support and assistance to children who have effected by domestc violence and/or sexual assault. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum 4 hour per week commitment.
